CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) and MT (Music Theatre) teaching: What is it and how do we begin to provide the tools to help students achieve their goal?  There are many “methods” out there, but in independent studios, it is just you and your students.  We will explore some healthy foundational techniques to use in the studio for students of all ages and ability.  Terminology, exercises and performance practice will be discussed.

We will look at several scheduling sites, and explore their benefits to the independent voice teacher. Payment apps go hand in hand with online scheduling - in fact, some websites offer both! 

There are many situations when an independent voice teacher would want to offer lessons to students via FaceTime/Zoom/Skype Learn about the equipment you need to optimize the experience, and tips for success!

An overview of some of the technology solutions and apps for the independent studio, including an in-depth look at Appcompanist, an app that provides tailored accompaniment, and Seesaw, which offers an easy way to transfer materials to your student to facilitate practice at home.
